CBC Morning Montage

Issue #12
By: Moonora

Welcome to the 12th Edition of CBC Morning Montage.
I enjoyed the response to last weeks issue in regards to what you all wanted more of, less of, or wanted in general. So I've taken all of that and tried to incorporate it into this weeks.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY THIS WEEK XAERO & TIBOLA!

IN THE GUILD

CBC Yogg +3 & The Legendary Mace

Congratulations to Zorb and our entire 25man Raiding team, who over the last several weeks have worked tirelessly in their efforts to complete Yogg+3. It is finally done. As we rushed several new raiders into Yogg as their first experience against the fight with only 3 keepers, they quickly adapted and overcame the challenge of blindly learning a somewhat challenging fight.

From Xaero and I, we would like to thank the team of raiders that have come together. All of you are great guild members and great players. While we worked tirelessly to recruit many of you, all of you are to be thanked for the completion of Val'anyr, Hammer of Ancient KingsRefresh This Item.

Jakat has returned - The Holy Paladin Curse could be broken?

It's true! Jakat, a former raiding Holy Paladin has returned to our front lines. Having had to set WoW aside to focus on studies and life he's come around to a steadier pace and is again assisting in the thriving of our tanks while being beat on. Over CBC's Raiding history we've gone through more Holy Paladins than any other raiding class/spec. Jakat's return may mark the end of CBCs Holy Paladin Curse. Welcome Back Jakat.

CBCers experience old world encounters

There has been great interest shown in old world raids within guild. In the last week Sartheous and others have banned together to quickly take down instances such as BWL and AQs. 2 - 10 have been nightly venturing forth to quickly zerg and laugh at the 100dmg-a-second DoTs that some of these encounters produce. Watch the guild forums for announcements on when they will once again venture forth into the dreaded and steamy pit of Molten Core.

Remember to take pictures of your Old School raids and send them to me!

Alichino forges a 10MAN NAXX Undying.... with a "death clause"

Hear ye, hear ye. For a Third week Alichino is forging a 10man Naxx run to complete the "Undying" Naxxaramus achievement. There is a catch! (and this time several of us hope he sticks to it despite unflattering circumstances.). In his post on both guild and realm forums he lists a "Death Clause". If you die and ruin the Undying challenge you must then run laps around Dalaran naked /yelling " I ruined CBCs Undying run." while the entire raid follows behind you. The /yell saying may be adjusted depending on if you belong to CBC or not. Sorry to say, but I'm rooting for a good Death from someone. Seeing the above is way better than getting any title.

Quote by Alichino
Naxx: The Undying - Part II: A Bro-Mance

It had been a long time, too long. It was evident from all their actions despite the nefarious dungeon through which we journeyed. The little quibbles, the wordplay, the tandem healing. Jakat had missed Zorb, and Zorb had missed Jakat… but Jakat was back, and they were together once more, healing the wounds of their 8 comrades. The rosy glow of Zorb’s bubble often surrounded Jakat’s countenance, and Jakat too often beacon his fellow healer.

A renewed harmony was at work – a masterpiece of flawless healing through roflstomp content, with a team of semi-dedicated Undiers.

Tragedy struck at the worst possible moment, in the worst possible way. Their bro-mance was inexorable, drawing them closer – closer into the taboo 10 yard sanctum. It would take a mastermind to exploit this weakness, yet we were faced by that undead genius monster himself, Kel’Thuzad.

At the critical juncture, Kel’Thuzad struck with a Frost Blast, encasing the bros in twin blocks of ice. Only Jakat survived, though stricken at causing the death of his bro, and the Undying were no more.

Though the past 2 weeks have failed due to some tragic Bad Luck still left over from Archimond's Tears, you can catch up with him and his gang once again this week. Just visit Alichino's The Undying Part III

Why Do Hunters Fail at Surfing?

A General thread that's slowly sparking lots of interest!
Can you think of your favorite, best, or greatest WoW Class/Race/Spec joke?
Drop by the General Thread Here and show us what you got!

Quote by Rosdale
Warlock=Woman IRL. Proof? Drain soul, drain life and searing pain.

Quote by Ayeto
How many rogues does it take to kill a paladin?

Two.

One to attack him on the field, and one waiting in the Ironforge Inn.

Ixyona & Candy Bar addiction.

That's right. Here's some CBC insider! Ixyona is rumored to eat roughly 12 full size candy bars per raid night. This information was not only given by her but was supported by several former guild members of Paradigm! Candy bars are apparently her game fuel. Which leads me to ask the rest of you, whats yours?

CBC on Modern Warfare 2

A popular game to FPS lovers. You can find a few CBC members online doing PvP, Co-op, and Death Matches. If you are thinking of purchasing this, do. And when you do, get it for the xbox360. Join Xaero (Jessekillsyou) and Czisix (Cjkory) and more of our friends live on off-nights!

RAIDING

25-man

Expect Hardmodes... Expect ToGC

As was obvious from this week, fantastic job on TOGC Beasts. I apologize for pulling a Noob Act and wiping us on the first real almost kill attempt. However, two attempts down the line we got'em!

You can expect more of this in the weeks to come. Now that Yogg is over we will only be focusing on Ulduar Hardmodes! ToC Normal! and ToGC! There will be no more Normal Ulduar. So get your asses in gear and be ready for this week's raids!

Twin Valkyrs

A large debate divided some raiders on whether or not it benefited switching portals during Twins when one had a shield up? One half argued that they were doing zero dmg to the shield and needed to change portals. While the second half argued that the portal changing did nothing and was unnecessary. The entire thing bothered Xaero enough that he poured time over guides and strategies. He finally discovered that the answer to the above question is Yes and No. Thus making each party equally right and equally wrong.

If a player remains the same color portal as the shield they will deal 50% dmg to that shield. If the player is the opposite color of the shield they will deal 100% dmg to that shield.

In Regular mode not switching colors is fine. However, as we continue into ToGC you will have to change colors to DPS shields down. It's your choice to practice now or practice later.

10man

Xaero's Team

- We would like to welcome Cross officially to our 10man. As Birc departed leaving a DPS spot open, Cross has willingly stepped forward to fill this space full time.

- Our raiding days have changed to Sunday & Monday. Due to 25mans now consuming or usual Wednesday, Monday was the best option overall for our team. This day will go into effect beginning next week.

- Xaero's team has now completed ToGC and also claimed Tribute to Skill achievement.

On our 45th attempt, we wipped due an enormous immediate spawning of white beetles in phase 2. We quickly and aggressively returned, rebuffed, and down Anub'arak on our 44th attempt. So very, very close to Tribute to Mad Skill... Next week. We are continuing to work on Algalon beginning again this coming week.

Tibola's Team

- Tibola's team claimed the first Heroic 10man Anub'arak kill for CBC.

- They have now completed GotUR, making 2 solid 10man teams for CBC to have completed this. Fantastic!! Grats to them on their kill of Yogg +1 and Firefiighter this week and to their new fancy Proto-Drakes.

The Gossip

Akraen returns to SWC? A little bird dropped me a line before flying away that I should check out some statistics. Rumor has it that SWC outcast Akraen returned to the server after he and much of his guild tucked tail and ran to Ysera. Now while several of the more liked and former <Natural Order> members have returned to SWC (I'm still holding out for Finkle.) the thought of Akraen returning is something to be laughed at. Akraen's ego is possibly as large as I am wide which earned him quite a despicable reputation here. <Natural Order> left sometime between May and July. Akraen was recorded on SWC Sept 19th. He was first recorded on Ysera in the guild <Contrast> on July 20th. Then again in <Natural Order> on August 15th. If you put the dates he was on Ysera and then the date he was on SWC in chronological order... well... you get your answer. It would have been nice if he'd at least given himself a party to announce his brief vacation back to us. I figure he came back to spy on the good Officers that abandoned him.

The Hype

Kyy forced to name change!? For you long time SWCers, there's certainly no way you've at least never heard of Kyy; an infamous trade troller, he's a former well known priest who left server and came back. Though he came back as a lvl1 alt warrior that hangs around Orgrimmar... doing nothing but... what he does best: Trolling Trade. After roughly 3 years on this server his name was flagged for a change. So what is it? "TheKyy". While overly obnoxious there's a small part of you that has to love Kyy if only for him being the novelty of SWC.

Author's Note: Several days after writing this I observed the following in Trade chat.

The mysterious "thekyy" was more of a fan boy than the real deal. Kyy, still exists and is without a name change. It was all fake! But the assumption that Kyy was forced to name change sparked a revolution of supporters who made various 'kyy' names and spammed the /trade chat Thursday and Friday evening.

The Scoop

Continuing from last weeks episode regarding Paradigms Co-GM Griever/Andosin; sources reported this week that the approx. cost of fixing his PC is roughly 400$. Many of the guild members have offered to send funds via PayPal to assist in a quick fix to get him back online, back in raids, and back at the front. However, from what The Mooing Druid hears, Griever has so far declined the generous offers and additional information reports Griever has bid a full and final farewell to Paradigm and WoW entirely.

BREAKING NEWS:New reports have come in that Griever is now accepting Paradigm donations to repair his computer and intends to return to WoW and the guild once things are done. However, it has been told to me that he is not accepting full amounts that some are willing to donate.

Random Pics!

Nowa of <Crimson Blood Clan> was spotted Raptor Surfing in the sewers of Dalaran!

A massive Black Bear parade began around Dalaran during the middle of this week. After three laps around the floating castle, they grouped together on the stairs of the North Dalaran bank for paparazzi. However, the congregation was broken by mammoths.

Misaow's Cute Kitten Clip of the Week

This is a new special segment, rightfully earned by SWC's platinum Rogue, Misaow.
Each week Misaow invites you to par-take in the harrowing adventures of the worlds Cutest feline friends.

This week, Cute Kitten gets caught in the loot chest after defeating Heroic Box of Litterbags.

BLIZZARD BUZZ

Pandaren Pet - SOLD OUT!?

Seriously! Virtual space is apparently not limitless as we're taught to believe. Since the charity Pandaren Monk appears as "Sold Out" in the Blizzard Online Store. Remember that the selling of Lil' K.T. and Panadren are supposed to continue through December 31st. Which makes you wonder... Did they have to call the charity and say "Sorry, we sold out of Panda Kung Fu Monks. That's all you get from them." It's probably just a number bug in the store's inventory. But regardless, it's very amusing. And while you can't purchase them for US Realms. You can still get them for EU Realms.

Battle.net Accounts

By now you should have been forced to merge your WoW account into a Battle.net account. Your only other option was to simply quit playing. If you did that, please go stand to the right side of the room. In exchange we were given cute little penguins Mr.Chilly... who are slightly smaller than the rep. grind reward Pengu. Now if you waited until after the deadline to do so... Well.... you missed out on Mr.Chilly. There's a plus side to the Battle.net account. If you're one of those people who don't keep track of their CD-ROMs very well you can now just access your games for download through your Battle.net account.

BlizzCon In Vegas?!

In the beginning this week a rumor leaked that Blizzard had secured a convention center in Las Vegas to hold the 2010 BlizzCon and that it would occur on July 30th & 31st. This caused a lot of buzzing. Blizzard quickly released a statement saying this information was false that there was no set place or date for 2010 BlizzCon and requested that no one arrange travel plans at this time.

A few days after, a letter was sent to all sources reporting on the above that they were retracting their earlier statement. The convention center spokesman said that Blizzard had put a hold on those dates as a possible booking, but had not contracted it yet. However, somewhere along the grape vine the possible booking had gotten written down as an actual confirmation and that was what led to rumors of next years place and time of BlizzCon.

One thing we can look forward too and hope for is that Blizzard does host their Convention in Las Vegas. Their capacity is an amazing 30,000 vs. San Diego's 12,000ish. Maybe this year some CBCers will make the final cut!

Mrgl-mrgl.com

Mrgl-mrgl.com? What is this?
It's the search engine for the ultimate WoWer. Any word, subject, title, you enter into Mrgl-Mrgl will result in all things World of Warcraft related to that particular word. This search engine will assist you in nothing else but finding amusing, meaningless wow topics. I did some searching using some rather vulgar and offensive topics. The search results either yielded nothing found or tons of posts, blogs, and guilds on the aforementioned topic. If you just want some kicks and giggles check out mrg-mrgl.com.

MACHINIMA

The Story

If you are a fan of Leggs (Machinima Director) and Cranius (WoW Musician). Then you'll love the collaboration of the two. If you are unfamiliar with either. I'm sure you'll remember ULDUAR - which featured Cranius & Summergale and was edited by Leggs & Nyhm.
Following ULDUAR is this wonderful visually stimulating music video: The Story

"Über Fail"

Ian Beckman is a popular Machinima Director and also a major playing in Myndflame.com.
But what you'll best know him from is "Azerothian Super Villains". Now while "Über Fail" has nothing to do with Machinima, I felt it was needed for some good LoLing.

CLASS TRIVIA CHALLENGE: What ability did Paladin's originally have in beta that was later given to warriors?

I hope you enjoyed this edition of CBC Morning Montage. Please comment on this weeks and let me know what you loved, hated, or wanted!

CBC Weekly Morning Montage

Issue #11
By: Moonora

Good morning CBCers. This .... is your weekly Morning Montage!!
Lots of PTR Changes this week. Lots of SWC buzzing.
I've changed the name due to my inability to promptly get this thing out every Monday.
However I will continue to post it weekly as I work on building it up to a video show.
I am also looking into some ideas for contests for readers... I don't know what yet.
But stay tuned!!!!!!!!

IN THE GUILD

New Blood

Demineon - Feral/Resto Druid: Demineon comes to us from Pantheon a'la faction change!! He's geared for every possible Druid spec, but not quite used to them all. Resto is his strongest while he claims Moonkin to be his weakest. When asked if he had Ventrilo in his application, is reply was yes.... But don't ask him to speak because he's French Canadian and his accent is bad.... and by bad, he probably means bad ass! But regardless if we'll ever hear him on vent we're happy to have him on our raiding team as a Feral DPS.

Patholos - Feral/Resto Druid: Patholos is a recently turned lvl80 who was already tossed into Xaero's GotUR 10man team! Patholos was nice enough to fill an empty seat for a following night. He's a Feral DPS druid and friend of Zorb & Barackas. He comes to us from Dread Legion (seriously? That guild is still even in existence?) Anyways, He's raided before as a Prot Paladin in Ulduar and ToC. He says he's come to CBC to play with friends, most of whom are with us.

Reyndeyn - Marksman Hunter: Reyndeyn... who applied under the name Hyysteria went MIA before he even got here. After his acceptance letter was sent to the Spam folder, 3 weeks lapsed and we'd given up on even finding him. In attempts to contact him on his old server he didn't exist anymore. But it seems he's finally found his way to CBC from Malfurion server. He says he takes online courses (must be nice!) and will be graduating early... which allows lots of time to spend with us.!

CBC in BC

So while Warsteirn was waiting on the delivery of bananas to feed his monkeys to get the internet back up and running; he happened to find some old CBC footage tucked away. This isn't just any footage, but the FIRST CBC kill of Illidan.

I was sadly not present for this. But Warsteirns choice of music was excellent. In remembering those who have come and gone and remembering what a great team we had back then. And quite frankly the longer you listen and watch, the more you want to cry.

Quote by Zanthar
Thing I miss most about Burning Crusade is how when we finally got a boss. One that we were working on for the longest freaking time. Vent would erupt into a loud cheer.

Message to Ebon/Tak

Takchawee aka Ebonthunder:

We miss you in CBC. Please get better soon!

To those still maybe unaware, Ebonthunder (formerly known as Takchawee) suffered a work accident roughly 2 months ago. Some broken glass horribly mutilated his hand and tendons. After a brief surgery and recovery the wounds became horribly infected. This put him out of game and back in the hospital for 2 weeks. Due to the infection and the additional surgery it lead to, his hand and arm were rendered useless. His ETA is unknown given additional healing time and physical therapy. We hope for at least Cataclysm, our loved Warrior/DK Tank can return to the front lines!

RAIDING

25man

Our Raiding day change has been made and official. Though the past weeks testing of how attendance would work out failed miserably due to unexpected emergencies that knocked 2 raiders off the list for the week, some work related conflictions that put 1 or 2 more out. And couple of unknown, and some house remodeling!

We'll throw this up to bad luck... you know... Because your tears didn't work when you clicked them and you'd read somewhere that sometimes that happens which caused you to die when you fell... Just really bad luck.

But seriously. Please remember to sign up for raids! Under your login box there is a tool called Mass Raid Signup. Use this. It allows you to sign up for multiple raids instantly.

Recruiting

We are continuing to recruit!!

We are still looking for additional Ranged & Caster DPS of all classes.
Most wanted right now are Mages.

If you have friends ingame, on other servers, or notice someone who looks good guildless send me something with their name! I've begun to reply to the comment "How are you today?" from the bank teller with "Do you play World of Warcraft?"

You'd be amazed!

AROUND STEAMWHEEDLE

The Gossip
- Stern of <Arcane Solarie> is rumored to have paid Paradigm for a spot in their 25man Ulduar Run of Yogg +3 in order to have forged the legendary mace Val'anyr, Hammer of Ancient KingsRefresh This Item. Due to data listing from warcraftrealms.com the character is not a new transfer and also no report to the progression thread of the kill being done by <Arcane Solarie> themselves. Some are viewing it as a form of cheating. While others see it a strategical move to obtain an item they otherwise wouldn't manage.

The Hype
- Faction Champions? Could their focus be linked based on a formula X+X+Y = Zurg You? Kushanaa of <Argent Exodus> posted a link and supposed formula that could answer why what faction champions aggro who so often and so forth that makes the encounter such a troubling 'head smash keyboard' fit. It's a great read if you have about 5 minutes.

The Scoop
- There are big changes going on in Paradigm! Griever (aka Andosin) lost his computer due to a bad power supply. Because of it's mechanics there's no easy fix. Which will result in a slow return. Some have reported to me that he's done with WoW for good and using this as his chance to get away. This leaves Paradigm's true GM Necro (aka Diphiniti) to pick up what he's left off. From what I've been told he's not real thrilled on having to take the raiding back over yet. But many are anticipating the guild to overall be better with the loss of Ando/Griever. Diphiniti's already begun by removing Applications from public view for roasting.

PTR & PATCH 3.3

Lots of good news out!

Random Dungeon

Occulus - It's getting the nerf! With so many players requesting an ability to black list specific dungeons from the Random Cross Server Dungeon generator, the Blues found that majority didn't want to have the option to fall into Occulus. Finding it to be quite the group killer, come 3.3 the Dungeon's standard fights will be a bit easier. They've also increased the benefits of item-based vehicle scaling like the drake combat mounts.

Give Me More! - As added bonuses to the Random Heroic Dungeon generator. When you join one of these you will earn extra badges AND have options to run the same heroic instance more than just once a day! So no fear if you ran heroic CoT an hour ago and it suddenly pops up again!

Shaman Tier 10 Release

To be fair, Shaman's haven't had a crummy set of Tier look since MC. That can't be said for the rest of us. No one likes Paladin. Druid's always have a giant oak growing from some part of their body. Warlocks didn't always get spooky, Priests never get good helms. Mages lack detail or awful helms, Warrior typically have something to do with spikes, and Rogues never get to see out of the front of their face. But not for Shamans. Shamans always get the good of the bad ass. And for those who play Shamans.. well.. let's review beginning with T1 and working our way to T8.

As the years passed the flashy, detail, good stuff just got better for them.
Until finally becoming the following.

Armored Frostwyrm Mounts

MMO-Champion has uncovered some Armored frostwyrms. One of these already seems to be active in the live server under the name Armored Frostbrood Vanquisher. The best assumption is that Glory of the Icecrown Raider (25man) will likely reward this.

Mini Patch Today

There's a small patch that went out late last night. It reported was causing some severe server stability. Several couldn't log in. Even this morning when I opened my game to see if there was usual maintenance I encountered an error that required me to run as administrator. Blues from last night report things were fixed, however we may anticipate extended maintenance today.

BLIZZARD NEWS

Adopt a Pet

According to Blizzard ToS. It is against their policy to trade real world funds for ingame items.
This prevents the auctioning of Character Accounts. Gold Selling. Power Leveling. Gear purchasing. As Blizzard pours likely thousands upon hundreds of thousands of dollars into protecting it's game and it's players against these sorts of things... I was astonished to learn that for 10$ I could have an in-game non combat pet.

Some are currently arguing that for those able or willing to spend 10$ on one or both of these are gaining some advantage above those who can't or aren't. That's obviously ridiculous. But I can't believe that I'm seeing Blizzard bend, actually break, their own ToC policy!

While Blizzard is donating 50% profit on these little guys to charity, I assume that's intended to just make the ToS Policy breaking a little easier on them. Oh well, I'm sure when the hype of cuteness dies down and these just become space holders in your Pet Achievements they'll go on Clearance. I'll get mine then

MACHINIMA SPOTLIGHT

WoW Night

This video has great music and great pacing.
While you may not be much of a fan of it's lyrics or it's style. I bet you'll find yourself twisting in your chair to the beat.

LORE TRIVA CHALLENGE: At the beginning of The Plague of Undeath, Arthas was sent to investigate a much more menacing foe that was arising. As he and his party encountered Necromancer Kel'Thuzad ...to what town did Arthas pursue Kel'Thuzad and what lays buried beneath this town?

CBC MONDAY MONTAGE

Issue # 10
By:Moonora

Welcome to the 10th edition of the CBC Monday Montage.

We're back by popular demand and I must apologize for the monthly delay.
I realize I have A LOT to catch up on. A lot of faces to introduce. A lot of Patches pre and post to cover. And all sorts of goodies. But I wont make everything. Also... I'm a day late. But you got your Montage!!!!!!!!

In The Guild

New Bloods

We've had an extensive raiding turn over. Having bid farewell to some of our favorites and greatest, we've equally opened arms and doors in welcoming just as many new clan members.

We'll just start with the most recent.

Ixyona - Shadow Priest: A former member of Paradigm, poor Ixy has been homeless at the the front steps of Dalaran for some 4months or more. Ixy is a well known figure head of SWC. A kind gentle heart who's well educated in all 3 specs of her good vs. evil class mechanics. We are happy to have her aboard our raiding front.

Skadicea/Turrak - Hunter/Warlock: Skad came from a very extensive vacation. And when I say extensive I mean...the last thing his toon touched was probably Illidan's dead corpse. (okay, maybe not THAT long) but he had taken a long vacation from game and raiding. He's returned full front to the raiding scene now to face the evils of Icecrown as his Warlock Turrak.

Toxick - Hunter: Toxick came originally from Alliance and had a seat in Final Boss for a bit. He's always willing to run practically any raid and quite often, I watch him in trade forming and joining the Puggles. I believe everyone should petition him to tame a wild boar and name it after me.

Valience - Ret Paladin: Valience was apparently a member of CBC a LONG time ago according to his application. It's likely even before my time or before my memory. Not too sure if the same friends are still around but he was the shaman named Gurgy...which seems like an odd tribute to our fearful...I mean fearless GM Guurg? Valience is a good guy who's a P.E. Teacher and apparently loves to Surf. Hang Ten, brah.

Omnivion - Unholy/Blood Death Knight: Omnivion came over from Gods of War after a few of his family members joined CBC (they are up next). He fits right in with our typical scenario of players: Married + Kids. He loves to PvP and raid as well. I think the last I checked he was a tank? Might have to check up on that yourselves if your looking for a solid DK to go with you.

Cristillian - Ret Paladin / Justella - Warlock / Chabachi - Hunter / Lenii - Resto Druid:

I've grouped these 4 together because, well they came together.

Sometimes we get lucky and a good pack of people fall into our sight at the perfect moment. It almost feels like fate..... sorry, that's too sappy.
Cristillian, Justella, and Chabachi have joined our core of raiders with strong initiative and willing to learn. They improved within the very first week they began raiding and haven't stopped improving.

Drektaar - Elemental Shaman: Drektaar came to us from Steadfast. Drektaar has recently returned from a long break in WoW. He enjoys playing with his 2 bulldogs. He claims to play a very bad and to quote "awful" guitar. A former New Yorker he's now living somewhere a little more 'country'. But we're still happy to have him as a member of the guild and maybe someday he'll be ready to hit the raiding scene again. Until then he's content on grouping for Heroics and doing some Naxx and fill ins here and there while he gets to know all of us old time CBCers.

Cross - Combat Rogue: Cross was one of the fallen of the massive <Grounded> gkicking. Please inquire about the story it's very entertaining. Cross is from Brazil ! ! and we hope he doesn't have to feed his monkeys grade A banana's to keep his internet strong.. /eyes Warsteirn. His biggest hope is that we don't mass gkick everyone and then go Gnome DKs on the same server..... hmmm.

Brüce - Destro/Demo Warlock: I haven't seen much of Brüce but I do know he's come to us from Sadistic Intent. Like many he's got 2 small versions of himself that can take up a lot of his time. He loves to raid but schedule problems cause some infliction. Aside from that he's a PvPer... but no fanatic.

Jaxat - Mutilate Rogue: Jaxat has returned to us from his extended leave with friends. He's also another victim of the mass <Grounded> gkicking. He's come back to raid and PvP in his free time (that doesn't exist). Welcome back Jaxat.

Valfry - Fire Mage: Ah yes, Valfry. I was waiting to get to this one. Valfry comes to us from the server Stormscale where he was originally an Alliance. A personal friend and co-worker of mine,I convinced him to leave that icky Aion aside and rejoin the wonderful world of Warcraft. I was just lucky enough he had a mage and we needed a mage and that he could power level from 75 - 80 in a matter of 3 days. We should have 2 strong mages for quite a while. He can't ninja vanish or flake out without facing me every day at work. >

RAIDING

25man Raiding

Raid Night Changes - For a few months now we've been struggling to meet for Friday's raids. 5 - 8 raiders are signing up as unattended and due to that we were forced to cancel several Fridays in a row. The Officers began to brainstorm on what options we had to help solve this. And those options were few. We were left with ultimately 3: 1) Over Recruit. 2)Move raiding to Wednesday 3)Move raiding to Monday. By now you've missed the voting period and the Guild voting is closed. But if you didn't read Xaero's announcements you can visit it Here. If you are wondering about the results. They are as follows:

8% - Monday
64% - Wednesday
28% - Keep Fridays

Wednesday won by a long shot. Xaero has already moved the raid days to now reflect Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday. Please adjust your signups and also remember to use the Mass Event Signup under your login options. We thank everyone who participated and voted.
Xaero 10man team's 2nd raid night will be moving to an unknown day. Stay tuned for words from him.

Ulduar Hardmode - Starting tonight we will no longer be farming Ulduar. We will begin to aggressively focus on hardmodes alone. Thank you, to all our veteran raiders who hung with us as we worked to quickly gear, improve, and teach the mass of new raiders through regular Ulduar for the last few weeks. We will see everyone tonight for FL+4.

10man Raiding

Xaero's Team - Xaero's team is currently working on downing Heroic Anub'Arak. However, due to some of our team members leaving for either emergency or personal reasons our goal has been set back. At the moment we have 2 DPS spots available or 1 DPS & 1 Tank spot. We are in need of a Rogue. Please contact Xaero if you are interested in filling these positions. Our team runs Sundays at 8pm - 11pmish server. Our former 2nd raid night was Wednesdays. This will be moving to another day, not sure on the day.

Tibola's Team - I haven't heard much on how they are doing and what they are working on. If someone will write me a PR I will edit this. Thanks!!

- <Grounded> Mass Gkicking: Former GM and CBC Member Evilrage went on a mass Gkicking spree a few days ago. Several sources reported that there was some internal struggling. None were given warning of what was to happen within a matter of hours. Evilrage apparently logged in and Gkicked all of his guild members. He, his wife, and 8 members of <Grounded> then transferred to Alliance side with <Grounded> guild bank. Some scouting has turned Evilrage up as the Deathknight Human "Betrayal" which is guilded in <Reckless>. Warcraftrealms.com lists the character history as first being seen October 29th with no other history. The guild itself is freshly created on October 29th with only 10members (the same amount of <Grounded> that faction changed) and exceptionally similar class members.

The Hype
- SWC PuGing has become the new Craze. Mostly on Horde than Alliance. With Squeakerz King of PuGs running a weekly Heroic ToC. Calculator is successfully combining a 25man ToC normal with the collaborative input of Stanz. Both have joined the SWC progression, only because a good regular PuG is quite uncommonly seen. Some aren't taking nicely to the PuGs or to the fact I've gone out of my way to honor them with progression tracking. But forum trolls will be forum trolls and scared mains behind low level alts will feel threatened. Oh well.

The Scoop
- Want a Rusted Drake?: Remember back in BC when Zul'Aman was the cool and the Mount was a limited time thing? It's back! Paradigm is selling Rusted Proto Drakes from a whopping 25,000gold!!!! Griever (aka Andosin) is selling 2 - 3 spots of his GotUR team spots. His group will carry you through every achievement needed to get you the drake. Or if you only need a few achievements to get yours you can buy just that boss fight spot from anywhere to 1,000gold to 5,000gold depending on the achievement difficulty. As you can probably guess "Firefighter" is the most expensive. If you want to read the full thread and it's feedback click Here

PTR - Icecrown Testing

If you don't want 3.3 spoilers I suggest you skip past this part and continue down to the last segment of this weeks Monday Montage (posted Tuesday)....

Boss Testing

Several bosses were tested this past week. And while we were raiding.... I'll admit I was alt tabbing watching them. Some of these fights we've seen before. They've just been refurbished. Other's we've never come close to even fathoming.

The Gun Ship Battle:

The gunship battle is exactly what we always thought since we saw the battle ships floating over Northrend. You are set on the deck of Orgrims Hammer. Arm the cannons and then suddenly BAM! The Alliance ship sails in. Start blasting away. Their mage will freeze your cannons and the Alliance will board your ship and you need to defend your deck. But you'll want to send a team to the Alliance ship and take out their crew. Your faction leader will help out by giving you the ability to use the cannons and turrets. Beat the enemy faction ship to the top of the Citadel to claim victory.

Sindragosa:

Arthas loyal Frostwyrm Sindragosa! She's like a worse version of Sapphiron. More ice bombs. Fewer shields. Higher cone dmg. I hope none of you threw away all that frost Resist. The tank will surely need it! Survive the massive AoE dmg and claim victory.

Valithria Dreamwalker:

"This fight is very different of what you're used to. Valithria starts with 50% health and your raid members will have to fully heal her with their spells. A lot of adds will spawn to prevent you from helping her and you will also have to deal with them, below are the adds abilities."

Chill of the Throne:

This is the big new debate. The debuff that ticks for dmg the entire time you are in the Citadel. Blue Posts all over the board have been answering player and mostly Tank questions regarding it's reasoning. Devs. have admitted to letting Tank avoidance and gear item level get higher than they like. To combat against it as we enter Ice Crown the constant debuff dmg is to balance the mentioned above. The idea behind the debuff is to lower the boss damage per hit but keep damage per time the same overall. Thus making the instance challenging. They go on to say that ICC will be the place to truly test your healers which leads me to believe the instance was made for the healers given the rumors of difficulty on normal. Devs. are comparing it to BC's Sunwell where it was all about the healers ability to recover and compensate for large spikes of dmg. Devs. also talk about Parry vs. Dodge for tanks (while this doesn't really apply to Feral Druids) for DKs, Paladins, and Warriors it's a good consideration. Read replies from GhostCrawler on the matters Here

Cross Server LFG & Raids?:

Blues announced this week that the Cross Server LFG will not work for raid instances. This is because of Raid ID. If players from cross realms are saved to one local ID there is less likely to regain that group due to inability to add them to your friends and contact them directly to form it. This would undoubtedly lead to a mass of QQing " We shared that lockout ID and he stole it" sorta thing. Cross Server LFG will only apply to 5man dungeons.
